Cumin Whole

The dried seed of the ‘Cuminum cyminum’ plant, Cumin is a member of the parsley family. The origins of this spice can be traced back to Western Asia, where it was used to preserve mummies and bring luck to newly-weds. It is oblong-shaped, pale green in colour with ridges on the surface. It has an earthy and warm bitter taste with citrusy undertones and a sweet aroma with musky and tangy undertones. It is said to offer numerous health benefits and could help control blood glucose and cholesterol levels, constipation, stress, and inflammation.

Our Process

Raw materials sourced from our farmer networks are graded and tested for quality in state-of-the-art NABL accredited labs. Then, they are mechanically and manually cleaned and sorted to remove any extraneous and foreign matter. Qualified and experienced professionals ensure that the laid-out processes are followed. In-Process Quality control checks ensure that the final products are as per the customer specifications. The products are sterilized through a validated steam treatment method. The steam-sterilised Cumin Whole is then analysed for quality parameters according to customer requirements and packed.
