Originating from Malabar in Kerala, they were so invaluable in ancient times that they were used as currency. Green berries are harvested, and dried till they turn dark brown or black. Whole black peppers offer a fresh aroma and taste while retaining the flavour for a longer time as compared to other formats. A sprinkle of this savoury spice offers a diverse profile of woody, floral and citrusy notes. They have a tingling and intense aroma. They could stimulate digestion, relieve cold and cough. They are said to reduce cholesterol levels, boost brain function, control blood sugar levels, enable weight loss, and have antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties.

The steam-sterilised Black Pepper Whole is then analysed for quality parameters, according to customer requirements and packed.
