Originating from Malabar in Kerala, they were so invaluable in ancient times that they were used as currency. Green berries are harvested, and dried till they turn dark brown or black. The flavour of ground black peppers blends quickly into food vis-à-vis other formats. A sprinkle of this savoury spice gives a diverse profile of woody, floral and citrusy notes. They have a tingling and intense aroma. They could stimulate digestion, relieve cold and cough. They are said to reduce cholesterol levels, boost brain function, control blood sugar levels, enable weight loss, and have antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties.

Raw materials are tested for quality in NABL accredited labs and then undergo cleaning, garbling and sorting to remove stones, foreign and extraneous matter. Qualified and experienced professionals ensure that the laid-out processes are followed. The production lines are integrated with blenders and sieves, ensuring the product is uniform and consistent. In-Process Quality control checks guarantee that the final products are as per the customer specifications. The products are sterilized through a validated steam treatment method. The steam-sterilised Black Pepper Ground is then analysed for quality parameters, according to customer requirements and packed.
