This Indian curry, renowned for its rich, comforting flavours is loved by food enthusiasts across the globe. The combination of tender and juicy chicken and creamy tomato gravy infused with TastyKan tikka masala makes it a standout dish, even earning the title of a national favourite in the United Kingdom.
Start with marinating the chicken with all the dry ingredients mentioned under marination for chicken. Let it rest till the time we make the gravy base.
Now peel and slice onions and tomatoes, take a pan add in oil and sliced onions , sauté. Add ginger garlic paste, cook this till golden brown. Now add tomatoes and sauté till everything cooked well. Take a mixer grinder, add onion and tomato grind it to a nice smooth puree, season with salt and add the TastyKan tikka masala. Mix well.
Into a pan add in oil, add the marinated chicken, and let cook, once it is cooked remove the chicken and in the same pan add in butter and the tikka masala gravy base. Cook this gravy base for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add cooked chicken and crush the kasuri methi with hands and add in. Add the cream, mix well. If the gravy is thick add water according to the consistency required.
