Mane Kancor’s Herb Oleoresins give the natural, concentrated flavour profiles of culinary ingredients. These oleoresins are powerful tools that enhance flavour in food and beverages. Basil Oleoresin is obtained by solvent extraction of dried leaves of basil. The product is a greenish-brown viscous liquid, with a floral and spicy odour. It also has the mild bitter and spicy flavour characteristic of basil. The product consists of natural extracts of dried leaves of basil with food grade additives.
The method of solvent extraction uses a separation solvent, which is generally non-volatile has a high boiling point and is miscible with the mixture, but doesn’t form an isotropic mixture as a medium to extract essential active elements from spices.
