Mane Kancor Ingredients Pvt. Ltd. has once again won the CII Food Safety Award for the year 2022. This time the company is bestowed with the award for Strong Commitment to Food Safety, under the Category of Large Manufacturing Food Businesses. It is the third consecutive year of winning for Mane Kancor at the CII Food Safety Awards. The award ceremony was organised on Thursday, 19th January at The Lalit, New Delhi.
The awards were constituted by an end-to-end online mode of assessment of participating companies. The virtual assessment process for each unit was for more than 120-man-hours. The assessors were chosen from a pool of 600 plus CII trained and practicing food safety professionals, who have diverse and extensive experience in various food sectors. The assessor training and on-site assessments were carried out virtually. It was diligently followed by standard operating procedures, leveraging digital tools and remote access by the assessors and applicants.
Mr. Jayamohanan C, Associate Head, Production, Mane Kancor received the award on behalf of the team. The Chief Executive Officer of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Mr. G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, IAS, addressed the event and a comprehensive report of assessment was shared to food businesses on continual improvement for establishing food safety excellence at par with world-class standards.
The CII Award for Food Safety was instituted in 2010 and is one of its kind on Food Safety Maturity Assessment in India, promoting internationally standardised practices on Food Safety in small, medium and large food businesses and build capacity in the food value chain.
