MANE KANCOR Brings Sustainability to Life, One Action at a Time

During MANE’s global Sustainability Month, MANE KANCOR’s Angamaly, Byadgi, and Bareilly manufacturing sites came together to turn awareness into action through a series of meaningful sustainability initiatives. The activities spanned across environmental protection, waste reduction, sustainable food practices, and community support, reflecting our ongoing commitment to building a greener and more responsible workplace.

Employees transformed factory spaces into living green zones through a participatory vegetable garden initiative. By adopting permaculture practices, team members cultivated vegetables within the premises, highlighting the importance of sustainable food systems and soil health. The project also included awareness sessions that connected these on-ground initiatives to our company’s broader sustainability objectives for 2030.

Complementing this, several waste management drives were carried out, from e-waste collection to outdoor cleanup and cigarette butt awareness campaigns. Through initiatives like “BUTT OUT – Tiny, BUTT Deadly” and “Zero E-Waste Challenge,” participants learnt about recycling, reducing pollution, and discovering local recyclers who give new life to discarded materials.

Sustainability at MANE KANCOR also extends to social responsibility. Employees reached out to vulnerable communities through campaigns such as Hridyapoorvam (meaning – ‘from our Hearts’), which provided food, education kits, support to children in orphanages, and visits to local rehabilitation centres that foster inclusion and compassion.

All these initiatives were part of Ma Petite Planète, a series of ecological challenges conducted across the MANE Group to inspire collective action for the environment. With over 1,000 sustainability activities completed and all three MANE KANCOR teams recognised for their outstanding contributions, this journey stands as a testament to our belief that small, consistent steps can create meaningful change for our planet.
