The award is part of Dhanam’s efforts to honour outstanding business leaders, bring respectability to business and business personalities of Kerala, and inspire entrepreneurial success. The selection was done by an independent jury consisting of eminent personalities from various fields. The function had an audience of over 500 dignitaries from Kerala.
