Mane Kancor has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility and sustainable community development through the successful execution of this year’s CSR initiatives at its Bareilly unit.
At Mane Kancor, our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives are designed to create lasting, positive change across communities. From environmental sustainability and water conservation to healthcare, education, and livelihood, each effort reflects our commitment to building a more inclusive, healthier, and sustainable future.
Some of the impactful projects executed this year were:
Upgrading Distillation Units for Higher Yields, Improved Oil Quality, and Water Conservation
The Bareilly team focused on installation of 10 modified cooling towers at selected farm distillation units, that have significantly reduced water usage by nearly 80%, while increasing oil yield by 20–25%—directly enhancing farmer income and operational efficiency.
The distribution of 10 stainless steel separators at distillation units has improved oil quality, minimised wastage, and prevented oil from contaminating local water sources. This directly contributes to better farmer yields and environmental protection.
Supporting Local Schools: Water Conservation, Learning Resources, and Menstrual Health Empowerment
Installation of 14 zerodor waterless urinal systems in local schools saves over 1.5 lakh liters of water per urinal annually. This initiative not only reduces the strain on water resources but also indirectly helps provide clean drinking water access for families.
To promote holistic learning, sports equipment and science kits were distributed to local schools, nurturing both physical activity and scientific curiosity.Reusable sanitary napkins were distributed in local girls’ schools and villages, fostering menstrual health awareness and empowering young girls to manage their health while reducing landfill waste.
Farmer Initiatives for Green Practices: From Soil Enrichment to Sustainability
To encourage eco-conscious living, jute bags were shared with farmer families for daily use, reducing dependency on plastic bags. 25 vermicompost units were distributed to farmers, along with starter material, to promote natural composting methods that improve soil health, germination rates, and crop yield.
Village Medical Camps for Community Health and Education
In collaboration with Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital, Mane Kancor organised medical camps in villages associated with its backward integration project, providing medical care and health education to the community.
Each project was carefully designed to address local needs—ranging from water conservation and healthcare to education, sanitation, and farmer support. These efforts are an integral part of Mane Kancor’s long-standing backward integration programme, ensuring shared growth and well-being across the value chain.
In previous years, Mane Kancor’s Bareilly CSR projects have included installing 20 solar streetlights in farm distillation units, setting up RO water coolers at key community locations, distributing school furniture and educational supplies, and supporting women’s empowerment through the donation of sewing machines to lead farmer families. As we move forward, Mane Kancor continues to seek new and impactful ways to empower communities, foster inclusivity, and promote environmental stewardship.
