MANE KANCOR STEALS THE SHOW IN CII FOOD SAFETY AWARDS

Mane Kancor Ingredients Limited has earned the distinction of
receiving the CII Award for Food Safety at a virtual awards ceremony held on the 18th of December. 

Mane Kancor won the award for strong commitment to food safety in the category of Large Food Business – Spices, Seasoning, Oleoresins and Condiments. 

The award is a one-of-a-kind Award on Food Safety Maturity Assessment in India and was launched by CII in 2010 to promote internationally benchmarked practices on Food Safety in Small, Medium and Large Food Businesses; not to mention build capacity in the food value chain.

This year, besides covering sectors like Dairy, Bakery, Beverages, Edible Oils, Ready to Eat Snacks, Quick Service Restaurants, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Primary Production, Joint Partnership Applications of Customers and Suppliers demonstrating Food Safety Excellence; the Award program has expanded to include E Commerce: Grocery Delivery Service; E Commerce: Food Delivery Service and Innovations in Food Safety Systems and Practices (Open to all Criteria, Sectors).

Given the pandemic situation, a virtual assessment methodology was launched with an elaborate training of the Assessor pool. The virtual assessment process involved more than 120 man-hours of rigorous on-site assessment per applicant, with assessors from a pool of 500 plus CII trained food professionals, who had a diverse and extensive experience in the food sector.

Facility was scrutinised with senior most food safety professionals from top MNCs in India by virtual as well as documented evidence in three stage audits that included  screening , virtual audit and jury`s panel evaluations.  The jury consisted members from food safety authorities of India, Ministry of Food Processing Industry, WHO – Regional food safety authority (Asia Pacific). 

The Virtual Awards Ceremony for CII Food Safety was addressed by Ms Rita Teaotia, Chairperson, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. Other eminent national and International speakers also took part in the function.Mane Kancor is proud to have been recognised for its tireless and determined pursuit
