Finding its origins in India and Indonesia, this “Queen of Spices” is one of the most expensive spices in the world.  Cardamom is the seed pod from the ‘Elettaria cardamomum’ plant. It thrives well in altitudes and cold-humid climates. Dark brown seeds are encased in light-green, oval-shaped pods. It’s fruity and piney, similar to menthol or camphor. It has an aromatic smell with hints of lemon and mint. Cardamom could help manage asthma, indigestion, bad breath, blood pressure, nausea, and diabetes.
