Linalool

Linalool is a naturally occurring terpene alcohol chemical found in many flowers and spice plants. It has a number of commercial applications. The product is obtained by the steam fractional distillation of basil oil. It is a colourless liquid, with a characteristic herbaceous odour. Linalool is used in flavour and fragrance formulations.
